Q:

Within uni-SPF, how can I make the Backspace key erase the preceeding character, when it moves the cursor?

A:

A number of customers prefer the Backspace key to behave this way, rather than the default 3270-style cursor positioning. We call this "destructive backspace", and it is available through our keyboard mapping utility program - uni-KEY.

To change the Backspace key, enter uni-KEY through the 0.K.2.u panel in uni-SPF. Position the cursor at DBACKSPACE, and press Enter. When the program prompts you to select the key you wish to map, press Backspace. Then follow the prompts to exit uni-KEY. To make the change permanent, use the o.K.3.2 panel to export your keybinds into the installation directory.
